Instant Ice

In Room 12 today, we explored changing states of matter.
Then we tried an experiment to make instant ice so we could see this science in action.
Unfortunately, our experiment did not turn out as expected 😞

The variables we thought may have affected our results include;
the size of the bottles we used
the length of time we left our bottles in the freezer
the temperature of the freezer

Tomorrow we will try again, adjusting our timing, to see if our results change.

In the meantime, you could try this experiment at home.
Watch the videos below for the equipment you will need, instructions on how to carry out the experiment and tips and tricks to look out for.
We would love to see any experiments, successful or not, so please video yours and email it to Miss Walsh at

Good Luck!
